Jobs Description – Teller (OG-II)
In local branch operations, a teller at NBP is a pivotal role, customer
transactions, cash flow management, and service standards compliance being
part of his everyday duties. Tellers are the front line of the bank who are in
direct contact with customers and execute the routine financial activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
On the one hand, money is taken from the customers and given back to them. in addition, deposits and withdrawals are processed.
Going beyond the simple bill payment services, tellers also accept payments for local government and issue receipts for funds coming from the government. Inward and outward fund transfer is also performed by them.
Manage vault cash and keys, and make sure that records are properly reconciled.
Cross-selling of products is done by bank employees, and customers are given the information about the new services, which are in line with the bank. Knowing Support-ATM
Replenishment is going to be conducted without any trouble through support systems.
Being in charge of the security of automated teller machines (ATMs),
Detect and report suspicious transactions following the guidelines of the SBP.
Keep track of the cash flow every day at the bank’s branch, complete forms, and uphold justice in accordance with the Islamic law standards of Shariah in the Islamic banking guidelines.
Provide outstanding customer support to resolve complaints at a zero-complaint rate.

Applicants for a teller job are advised to fulfill the following requirements:
Education:
Graduation minimum (HEC recognized).
Preference will be given to candidates with master’s degrees or if they hold certifications/diplomas in Islamic banking.
Age Limit:
Up to 28 years (at the time of the announcement).
Experience:
At least 1 year of related banking experience.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong cash handling and record-keeping abilities.
Knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations for cash management.
Understanding of bank branch operations.
Ability to communicate effectively and resolve customer issues efficiently.
Strength in working well with others and the capability of performing under pressure.
A good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a must for this job.
